Additional Support
Additional Support
We want to ensure that there are no barriers to communities fully participating in our project activities. We offer to facilitate your groups engagement:

Covering Transport Costs
We provide financial support for transport to all sessions for participants who need it. As part of our Nature Connection work we aim to help groups feel more confident and able to use public transport to access green spaces and this can be an element of group delivery. For longer trips we will cover the cost of getting to and from venues and arrange journeys with coach hire when and where appropriate.

Volunteering & Training
For participants with a strong interest in nature connection or energy saving, we offer opportunities to become volunteer peer guides. Peer guides help support project delivery while gaining formal certification for their contributions. We also provide training on how to start and run their own community groups, enabling them to continue MCAS’s work within their communities beyond the life of the project.

Refreshments and Catering
We will arrange culturally appropriate refreshments and catering for all our sessions. We can either arrange to transfer funds to your organisation if you would like to be responsible for catering or we can arrange this for your group. We will make sure to understand your groups dietary requirements when planning sessions.

Resources for Longer Term Change
To help groups continue their learning and take positive climate action, we provide tailored resource packs. These may include energy-saving tools in our warm packs and materials in our nature packs to support ongoing confidence and engagement in local green spaces. Each pack is customised to meet the specific needs of your group.

Childcare Costs
We can cover childcare costs for participants who require it.
